You're not alone!
Have you ever wondered how much sleep experts recommend for your child?  Need ideas for helping your child learn to cook?  Concerned about bullying or cyber-bullying?  Visit Tweenparent.com for some very interesting articles that may help.  Simply follow the link on the right-hand side of this page.

Happy reading!   I'd love to hear what YOU think about this site or others you may find useful.

ISTEP+ Hints and Suggestions for Successful Testing
Attendance!  Did you know that the average score for a student who misses the orginal test date and has to take it another day is 30 points lower than those taking it on scheduled test date?  Please make arrangements to schedule all doctor appointments on non-test dates if at all possible.

Sleep!  Please try to maintain a healthy sleep schedule, especially during testing week.  You may want to check-out the link to the right regarding teen sleep needs.

Relax, but not too much!  Please encourage your child to consider ISTEP+ as an opportunity to show what they know!  If they've been doing their work this year, it will pay off!  This is the chance for your child to SHINE!

Breakfast.  Please ensure that your child has a healthy breakfast every morning.  I know it is difficult for me to concentrate when my tummy is growling!  See the link at right for more info from webmd.

Note the helpful Dept. of Education web link to the right.  This site has information you might find helpful in preparing for the test.

Do you have any ideas or suggestions?  Please share!  We are all working together for your child's success!
