UP and ATOM Project (for extra credit)
Steps to Make a 3-D atom.

1. Choose an element (no H and He elements allowed).

2. Identify it's atomic number. This tells you how many protons and electrons there are.

3. Identify the atomic mass number (it's a decimal). Round it to the nearest whole number. Subract the atomic number from the rounded number. This number is the amount of neutrons.

4. Make a sketch of your atom.

5. Ask Mrs. Freeman to check it.

6. Gather items to build your atom.

7. Think first - then build.
